Just catching up on the blogs here, hence several months late, but a huge gripe of mine is when they miss out stations between Bedford and Luton (either way; it often happens c.2200 from Bedford) in an attempt to avoid fines. When it happens c.2200 from Bedford, it leaves us stuck for another half hour, often in addition to the prior half-hour wait due to the previous service having left a few seconds early. Not only is this annoying, but often freezing cold - heating the waiting rooms is far too much to ask, obviously.

Rant over.

What about their trick of getting late to Gatwick and then making the service 'fast to Brighton only'.
Improves their arrival time at their final destination and leaves passengers stranded and fuming at Gatwick.
Nice one Thameslink.

As a regular Thameslink commuter I havenoticed a few things about their shoddy service. Perhaps the most irritating and the easiest to change is that for 'unpopular' stations (eg Cricklewood) the trains often leave EARLY. 10-20 seconds before the scheduled time clearly displayed on the station clock.

When this happens it is not unusual for the train to then wait for a longer time at a bigger station (eg West Hampstead) to get back to the timetable.

No use for the poor commuter who was cutting it fine but was otherwise on time at Cricklewood!

I have emailed them several times and got an apology but I don't see anything changing...
