Gone. Deleted. Kaput. No More?

It appears that the First Capital Connect official Facebook page mentioned in my last post is on a downward spiral (much like its actual train service) towards complete closure.

Visitors to the page since yesterday, 21st July 2010, have been greeted with this message (left):  “First Capital Connect has no more posts.”

This was certainly not the case just 24 hours before, when the page was filled with more than six months’ worth of messages from angry passengers asking – and getting answers to – their questions about FCC’s operations and failings.

Members of the “I Hate First Capital Connect” group on Facebook noticed the missing posts:

That “human-ness” I referred to in my last post? Completely deleted, just like the posts. And I’m taking bets as to how long the page will stay up – anyone want to give me some odds?

Ha! Perhaps FCC finally got fed up with you ignorant and clearly illiterate passengers moaning all the friggin’ time. Your screenshot certainly proves my point about illiteracy with that ‘Steven’ person obviously unable to spell the basic of words, such as ‘experiences’ (“experinces”?!!) and ‘travelling’ (“traveling”?!!).

Tuesday proves my point about ignorance… the amount of complaints about FCC delays in the morning which were actually caused by a broken rail at Farringdon station – that was Network Rail’s fault/problem and FCC cannot do much about it except perhaps co-operate with NR to try to reduce delays as much as possible but only if it is safe to do so but oh no you pax moan at FCC instead of NR!!

Maybe if you lot cut FCC some slack for once…! Or here is an idea – how about getting the facts right before you complain in the ruddy first place!

And before you say it, no I don’t work for FCC or NR, nor do I work for any other train company involved.

Mr Literate – you obviously don’t travel on FCC. FCC are the TOC to whom we poor commuters each pay thousands of pounds for a dirty, unreliable, sub-standard, expensive service provided by a company that has one objective – to make as much money as possible whilst screwing it’s customers over in as many ways as possible. We don’t pay NR, our tickets are with FCC and it’s them to whom we complain.
We understand that not all problems are caused by FCC (broken rails etc), but what is definitely their fault is their incompetent management, inaccurate & misleading information, downright lies, extortionate ticket prices & car parking charges, badly maintained rolling stock and stock of spare parts, unfair compensation policy, inept customer service…I could go on, you get the picture.
I suggest that if you want some facts and horror stories, you should visit the ‘I Hate First Capital Connect’ facebook group
